Letters from Joni | July 2024

Hello Daystar family,

As we welcome summertime here in Texas, I'm reminded of the beauty of rest. July marks a time when many of us step away from the hustle and bustle of our daily routines to enjoy slower moments with family and friends. And what a precious gift it is!

In the midst of our busy lives, it's easy to forget the importance of rest. Yet, the Bible reminds us time and time again of the significance of slowing down and finding solace in the Lord. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus Himself beckons us, saying, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." What a sweet invitation it is to lay our burdens at His feet and find rest for our souls.

So, as you embark on your own summer adventures, I encourage you to take moments of stillness to rest and recharge in the presence of the Lord. Whether it's spending quiet time in prayer, immersing yourself in His Word, or simply enjoying the beauty of creation, may you find true rest in Him.

In the midst of this season of rest, my heart is overflowing with joy as I share the precious news of the newest addition to our family. Jonathan and Rebecca Weiss have welcomed their precious baby girl, Eliana Joy, into the world, and our hearts are bursting with love and gratitude. What a blessing she is to our family, a true testament to God's faithfulness and goodness.

And speaking of blessings, I am thrilled to share some exciting news from Daystar. Our reach continues to expand as we have launched on "Bhopal TV," a DTH platform reaching an astounding 21 million homes in central India! With this launch, Daystar is now in over 93.5 million homes, reaching over 561 million people in India alone. And that's not all – Daystar is also available on 460 million devices throughout the country. Additionally, we have recently been added on “Freeview” and “Freely” in the UK. This launch allows us to reach 18 million new homes in the United Kingdom! What an incredible opportunity to spread the message of hope and salvation to millions!

As we reflect on the goodness of the Lord and the abundant blessings He has bestowed upon us, let us continue to press forward in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion. May your summer be filled with moments of rest, joy, and sweet fellowship with the Lord.
