As we enter the year 5786 on the Hebrew calendar, a deeper understanding of its significance begins to unfold. The number 86 serves as a key, symbolizing both the decade of the “80s” and the “6th” year. In Hebrew, the number 80 is represented by the letter Pey, which translates to “mouth.” This decade, starting in 2020, has indeed been marked by powerful implications for the expression of faith. From the onset of the pandemic, when masks obscured our mouths and hindered our ability to freely gather, to the ongoing battle for the Gospel’s proclamation, we have seen the enemy attempt to stifle the voice of believers.

Transitioning from 5785, a year embodying grace (the number 5), many of us were unprepared for the spiritual challenges that lay ahead. The recent passing of Charlie Kirk, a notable figure in Christian outreach, has sparked a remarkable expansion of Gospel initiatives beyond our expectations. This shift aligns with the prophetic call found in Isaiah 54:2: “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch out your tabernacle curtains. Do not hold back—lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.” This scripture is a reminder to invite Yeshua into our lives and to present Him to family and friends, encouraging us to expand our spiritual horizons.

The number 6, represented by the Hebrew letter Vav, symbolizes a nail or tent peg and is often associated with humanity. As we move from 5785 into 5786, we are reminded of our role in God’s Kingdom. The expansion of Gospel outreach following Kirk's death exemplifies the truth that the Lord works in mysterious ways, even through tragedy.

It’s crucial to recognize that the conflict surrounding Israel and the Jewish people is part of a larger spiritual battle between light and darkness. For centuries, Israel has been used as a scapegoat, with false narratives perpetuated against the Jewish community. The enemy seeks to sow division and misinformation to divert attention from God’s plan and to delay Christ’s return. As believers, we must remain vigilant and discerning, understanding that the battle has already been won through Christ.

As we navigate this turbulent time, it is important to remember that the hate, lies, and misinformation regarding Israel will likely intensify. This underlines the significance of organizations like Daystar, which aim to awaken the church to its dual destiny with Israel and the Jewish people. Romans 11:11 reminds us that “salvation has come to the Gentiles to provoke Israel to jealousy.” This is a divine calling for the church to engage with and support Israel, leading them to recognize Jesus as their Messiah.

In this season, let us stand firm in our faith, expanding our spiritual tent pegs and inviting others into the Kingdom. We must counter the deception with truth and love, ensuring that the message of hope and salvation is spread far and wide. The enemy may try to deceive and divide, but we can take heart that victory belongs to the Lord.

As we embrace the year 5786, let us commit to praying for Israel, advocating for the truth, and boldly proclaiming the Gospel. Together, we can be vessels of light in this dark world, fulfilling our calling and ushering in the Kingdom of God.
