We are so thankful for every person who continues to support Daystar’s efforts in Israel. Here are some of the latest updates.
Ofakim Theraputic School:
We are finishing construction on the Therapeutic school in Ofakim that will serve the youngest victims of October 7th, those who lost parents or siblings or grandparents to the terrorist attack. The structure is fully built and we are finishing the interior and the yard that will include a play area for the kids. We hope to be done in the next couple of months to prepare the school to be ready for the next school year.

Lone Soldier Home in Yad Mordechai:
This amazing new home for 12 Lone Soldiers is being completed in the next two weeks! It looks amazing and will be a refuge for soldiers that are serving and that have no other family in the country or a place to call home. Yad Mordechai is a community that borders Gaza and that was attacked on October 7th. We will be doing an event to dedicate and open this building on May 30th!
Shelters in the Forest School in Golan
We have completed our project with the mayor of the Golan Heights to build two large shelters in one of the main schools serving 32 communities in the North and allowing hundreds of kids to safely return to school. This project was completed during the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon and it allowed this school to reopen safely in March and is giving the people of the Golan Heights the encouragement to stay in the North, the ability to keep working, and peace of mind for parents sending their kids to school every day.

5 Homes Being Built for Families in Manara, on the border with Lebanon
We've begun the land development in Manara, where 75% of the homes in the community have been destroyed and families are still living displaced and are desperate to move home. We will be building 30 homes for this community and Daystar funded the first 5 homes!! The first prototype modular home is arriving this month and we hope to get all of the homes delivered, assembled and ready for families to return home by this summer.

Pro-Life Center in Beer Sheva Being Established
Daystar was our anchor partner at establishing a new pro-life center in the southern Israeli city of Beer Sheva. We have purchased the property and are currently getting the facility renovated and hope to have women and families in the center by this summer! This center will help to save hundreds of babies and serve women in crisis pregnancies every single year.
Modern Hebrew Translation of the Bible Being Distributed
Daystar helped to fund the initial distribution of thousands of bibles translated into Modern Hebrew for the very first time, supporting dozens of local congregations and helping to shine the light of God during this difficult time.
