I love this time of year!
The season we are in right now is called Teshuva. Teshuva quite literally means “to turn and repent.” We are called to search our hearts of any unrighteousness, repent of those things that are not holy and turn to the Lord.
This time of year is so special because God speaks to us in this season about our mission and focus for the year to come. This is the time for us to align our heart to God’s Word, His promises and His will.
It was during this very time that God forgave the Jewish people of their sin of worshiping the golden calf. For that reason, these days leading up to Yom Kippur are also known as the Days of Favor.
My prayer for my family and for you is that God speaks to you as you turn and repent of any wickedness. I pray that God’s favor rests on your life and that during this season of Teshuva you experience a fresh wave of His grace, mercy, and lovingkindness.
