Q: As a programmer on Daystar, what has it mean to you to have Flashpoint on the network, and what has been the response?
A: I think it was a bold and generous decision by Joni Lamb to put Kenneth Copeland’s Flashpoint on Daystar. Flashpoint is a Christian news program that deals with subjects most ministries go out of their way to avoid. The show’s popularity is driven by Christians wanting to hear these conversations, and Daystar does not shy away from provocative issues. While I like doing Flashpoint, my favorite Daystar program is Joni Table Talk. I love the energy of a real live conversation with a group of ladies sitting together at the same table. That spontaneous interaction style is not something we can do on Flashpoint, where men record from separate studios. Women generate more energy and can multitask a conversation, whereas men tend to peruse one linear thought at a time. My lifetime goal is to be a walk-in Regis Philbin regular on Table Talk.
Q: You are known for tackling current events. How important was the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and in the wake of such a monumental decision, what is your challenge to the Church?
A: Overturning Roe didn’t take place overnight. It was a 50-year struggle. Likewise, the school prayer issue was reversed decisively in the coach Kennedy Supreme Court Case. That was a 60-year struggle, and most Christians are still unaware of how monumental that decision was. Many have felt that abortion is an issue that hangs over the nation like a curse. That curse has now been lifted in terms of its legal mandate from the federal government. Now the battle goes to the states. This is a far more profound development than most people think because it reveals that each state and region of the country will decide its own estimate of the value of human life. From my perspective, the entire world is entering a period much like the valley of decision in the Bible. Eventually, individuals, nations, regions, cities, and states will define their status as Sheep or as Goats. The sheep value the individual, and the goat does not. What surprised both sheep and goat nations in the parable Jesus taught in Matthew 25 is the discovery that the way you treat the individual is the way you treat Jesus, “as much as you have done to one of the least of these you have done to Me.” It should not surprise us that the same world that could kill the spotless Son of God would be capable of killing babies. Already some states like New York and California are telegraphing their intent to be abortion sanctuaries. Even companies like Uber have gone public with their sympathetic alignment with the abortion industry.
Conversely, Texas and Florida are commonly seen as sanctuaries for Christian liberty and pro-life values. In the end, the Church will have to step up to the challenge of adopting children that are not aborted. The Church has a great opportunity in this regard to care for and support single mothers and the challenging task of helping them raise children.
Q: In America, we are approaching a very important midterm election. Why is it so vital that believers vote biblical values, and given what we’ve faced over the last two-years, what can we expect if we don’t?
A: It is vitally important that every Christian reading this gets informed about the actual values of the candidates competing for their vote. You can get a voters values guide at FRC.com. I am always amazed at the statistics that say that 50% of Christians do not vote. I wonder what kind of Christians they’re talking about. Even fake news outlets cannot avoid the crisis America is going through as it suffers out-of-control crime, economic meltdown, and military humiliation from Afghanistan to the dangerous realignment of Russia and China against the United States. The weaponizing of our own FBI and Justice Department against opposing political views is a warning flare. That became conspicuous when parents were threatened for daring to oppose teachers’ mass indoctrination of children. This provoked an electoral upset in Virginia and a rude awakening among parents, setting up an even greater awakening in the rest of the nation from school district to school district. Any Christian who is half awake should be fully alarmed in such circumstances. Times like this either distress you or stir you up to action. I choose to get stirred up and to make myself available to speak as a Christian citizen in the national battle of big ideas.
I believe that awakening has already started and that years down the road, we will look back and realize that we were in the early phase of a great revival and national reformation. The reformation will be evident when the dust settles after the midterm elections. Our prophetic moment finds its parallel when Nehemiah hits the halfway point in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.
“So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.” (Nehemiah 4:6)
What will follow Midterms?
When their enemies “heard that the walls of Jerusalem were being restored and the gaps were beginning to be closed, they became very angry and all of them conspired together to come out and attack Jerusalem and to create confusion.” (Nehemiah 4: 7-8)
That is a prophetic parallel for where America is right now as a godly remnant is at work to rebuild the walls that have collapsed in our society. The school system has become the front line in the battle for children and families. Not since Abraham Lincoln’s midterm election in 1863 has there been a more consequential midterm in U.S. history.
Q: It’s also important that we pray for our leaders even if we don’t agree with them. How does that principle align with Scripture, and why must we take it seriously?
A: A lot of us miss what Paul said about praying for rulers.
The aging Apostle admonished Timothy to pray and intercede and give thanks “for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” (1Timothy 2:2)
Now add what Jeremiah said hundreds of years earlier as the Jews were going into captivity in Babylon: “Seek the prosperity of the city to which I have sent you as exiles. Pray to the LORD on its behalf, for if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7)
Putting those verses together, we pray for rulers because what they do affects us and our prosperity! If they start a war, lose a war, cut off energy, shut down church services, crash an economy, or open the borders to criminals and drugs, it all impacts you and your house.
This is where Christians involved in the heated battle over government can make a mistake. Nowhere does the Bible say to pray against others. Instead, we are admonished to pray for rulers. Do you really want to curse the pilot while you are stuck on their plane till the next election cycle?
I heard someone put it this way:
“The good news is that your sworn enemy just drove off a cliff.”
The man replied quizzically, “What’s the bad news?”
“The bad news is that he was driving your Porsche.”
Pray for not against rulers because your prayers may be protecting them from decisions that will bring you and your nation more significant harm. Pray for God to raise righteous people to answer the leadership call. Also, included in Paul’s prayer are “those that are in authority.” There are two types of rulers, decision makers and influence shapers. The underground Church in various nations uses the Seven Mountain template to identify “those in authority,” such as influencers in arts and media, and have won many of them to the Lord. I tell people to identify the top three influencers in local education, government, sheriff/police, media, banking, business, and religion. In many places, the prayer target involves an evil character like a local drug lord or criminal organization. You can pray for conversion while binding the devil and asking God to expose their operation. There are lots of angles to this strategy. Pray this way and watch what happens! Divine appointments and sudden conversions occur. It may be a son or daughter or wife that gets saved in a wicked ruler’s house. I’ve seen it over and over.
Q: Another hot button issue we have seen rise over the last couple of years is the Transgender/LGBTQ+ agenda, particularly as it pertains to our children. Why must Christian parents take a more proactive approach in dealing with this?
A: What is happening with this Transgender/LGBTQ movement? A problem that is well-defined is half-solved. During our lifetime, the West has moved away from a Judeo-Christian worldview where God and moral absolutes once provided the cement to keep our diverse tribal interests in check so that we could build a thriving civilization. That is why there is so much division. Imagine driving through an intersection where each driver defines their own meaning behind the green, yellow, and red? The Christian worldview was gradually displaced by a hyper-divisive cultural Marxist worldview, and it lodged itself into the gates that shape the seven mountains of culture: Church, family, education, government, media, arts, and business. Marxism or socialism is the starter meal before the main course of communism takes complete control. In their system, the individual can have no loyalty other than loyalty to the state. That is why they ultimately must attack religion and family as they compete with devotion to the central power of government.
The family mountain discovered it was being invaded by the government-backed education mountain! Teacher’s unions led the assault. Remember, politicians want power and get that power through cobbling together organized groups of voters. LGBTQ and BLM groups understand how Marxism works and build coalitions that Democrats can work with. Unions are another group. The progressive teacher’s unions are one big source of power. The problem is that these teachers are evangelizing your children. They do not care about the education; they care about indoctrination, salary increases, and job security. Teachers arrive in schools thoroughly indoctrinated by Marxist ideologies that have fractured and vulgarized societies for 100 years. Parents are awakening to this pornographic, racial stereotyping, and gender confusing indoctrination and are pushing back by taking an active role in local school boards and elections. They are challenging curricula. This sets up a great awakening as parents begin to mobilize courageously to take on the all-powerful government alignment with their unions. When it costs politicians their seats, they will modify their alignments.
Q: How is Transhumanism connected to the End Times?
A: Think of Transhumanism as man’s End-Time effort to replace God and the plan of salvation. It is a scheme from the “tree of knowledge” that promises what Satan offered Eve: a forbidden fruit that will make her like God! Transhumanists seek to alter and change human beings through technology so that a new type of person can be manufactured by integrating technology into the physical body. They believe they can create their own version of eternal life by somehow downloading your memories and consciousness into a hard drive that can be uploaded into another body. In this way, you can defy God’s plan that says, “it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
They envision a future where they can insert microscopic technology into your system along with brain links that can modify your intelligence and monitor your body. Sounds promising till they add that they want to be able to track where you go, who you are with, how you spend money, and what you are thinking and feeling. The new global government wants to oversee the technology. In this manner, they can monitor negative reactions to the government and isolate individuals who may need to be reprogrammed. According to one of the architects of this new world, Yuval Noah Harari, this can all be made possible by injections utilizing nanotechnology, which is why the whole obsession with vaccine mRNA technology has been so aggressively politicized.
What does this new global government of elites want to create? Their own version of the Kingdom of God, bringing Utopia to Earth. They will be the gods, however, and you will be the creatures serving their agenda. You will own nothing but be happy in their version of the millennium. In every respect, it is counterfeit salvation and a counterfeit kingdom designed to serve a counterfeit Christ in its final form.
God has a far better plan. All the technology you will ever need is downloaded by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The atheist scientific community in charge of this transhumanism project does not understand the spiritual anatomy of man as a being with a spirit, soul, and body. They cannot compete with the full, unleashed potential of the recreated human spirit filled with the power of the Holy Ghost, nor can they change man’s heart with a DNA-modifying injection.
Q: You are also in tune with what the Lord wants to address in our world. What has God placed on your heart to talk about that we haven’t touched on?
A: God is doing a work in our day that is bigger than we realize. In nations worldwide, there is a realignment taking place between Sheep nations and Goat nations. The final harvest is maturing, and the tares (children under the influence of the wicked) and the wheat (children under God’s persuasion) enter an accelerated development phase. Religious reformation is at work as nations, especially those with Christian missionary influence, are pushing back on the new world order. The E.U. is setting itself in opposition to Hungary, Poland, Italy, and every form of populist alignment against the powers of centralized government. The same thing is happening in the United States as individual states assert their own sovereign power to govern according to the rights guaranteed by the founders in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. These natural geopolitical contests run parallel to the spiritual battle over territory as the fundamental issues in each state and nation keep returning to different views over the state and its impact on the people’s opinions of God, family, and culture. Revival and reformation are about to combine and collide with the power of darkness as the End Time harvest of souls and nations comes in!
